Quick sequence
- Prepare equipment, monitor, suction, BVM, two IVs, end-tidal CO₂.
- Preoxygenate ≥ 3 min (NRB + nasal cannula 15 LPM apneic O₂).
- Optimize hemodynamics — fluids ± push-dose pressor before induction.
- Induction agent → immediately followed by paralytic.
- Wait 45–60 sec, then intubate; confirm with EtCO₂.
- Start post-intubation sedation within minutes.
