Pre-procedure checklist
- NPO status, focused H&P, airway assessment (Mallampati, mouth opening).
- Continuous SpO₂, EtCO₂ (capnography), BP, ECG, IV access.
- Suction, BVM, oral/nasal airways, ETT + LMA, reversal agents at bedside.
- Pre-oxygenate via NC or NRB; consider nasal cannula 4–6 LPM during procedure.
- Two providers minimum — one dedicated to airway/sedation.
- Document baseline vitals, time-out, drug doses, recovery to baseline.
